Opportunities: Our House
Our House is a childcare and support center for homeless families in Decatur. Our House is designed to help families stabilize and to provide parents with the tools necessary to succeed as productive members of the community
Classroom / Office Assistants
Hold, rock and feed infants, participate with children in group activates, chaperone field trips and supervise children on the playground. Help in the office by assisting with general clerical duties.
Family Resource Assistant
Assist Family Advocate with compiling a list of resources for families. Resources may include: job leads, educational opportunities, and housing information.
Donations Intake Assistant
Sort and organize donated children's clothing and household items. Create starter kits for families moving into their new homes.
Kitchen and Grounds Assistant
Help with preparing, serving meals, and stocking food supplies. Help with the maintenance of the yard and playground.
Birthday Club
Every child looks forward to their birthday, at Our House we would like to make it so that each of our children has a special birthday. Our wish is to have a group of volunteers organize monthly birthday parties for all of the children whose birthdays fall in that particular month.
