Why We Serve
We serve because Jesus served.
We love because Jesus loved.
We serve and love because we've been served and love.
For the All Souls community, serving others is the heart and soul of how we put the good news of Jesus into practice. Serving enacts something far more profound and deep than simply helping someone out. We believe it is truly transformative and moves us all toward wholeness. It is primarily how we reflect the image of God and make Him a tangible reality.
And so, to be a part of All Souls is to live a life of serving. This begins within the church as each week people dive into serving in children's ministry, greeting, helping set up, or even making coffee. We truly exist as a church because of our volunteers. It is from this discipline of serving that we are then able to love our communities, our city, and our world well. Living out Christ's love cannot be limited to a building or a couple hours on a Saturday but is a lifestyle that defines His followers. And so, we serve each other and seek ways to make the story of Jesus' love known throughout our world.
