Communion Prep
Serve our congregation through preparing the elements of the Lord’s Supper.
Details about the position:
9:00 AM Volunteers
Arrive at 8:30 and report to the kitchen
Fill four trays of small communion cups with wine and grape juice in the outer rims of the trays.
Prepare the bread by pre-cutting (leavened bread), or breaking into pieces (unleavened bread/crackers), and filling the smaller bowls with the gluten free crackers.
Fill the common cup with wine.
Set the prepared communion elements out on the table at the front of the sanctuary.
When the first service ends, return the communion elements to the kitchen counter.
10:45 AM Volunteers
Arrive at 10:30 and report to the kitchen
Refill four trays of small communion cups with wine and grape juice in the outer rims of the trays.
Prepare additional bread, only if needed, by pre-cutting (leavened bread), or breaking into pieces (unleavened bread/crackers), and filling the smaller bowls with the gluten free crackers.
Set the prepared communion elements back out on the table at the front of the sanctuary.
When the second service ends, return the communion elements to the kitchen counter, dispose of the unused elements, clean the service wear (trays, plates, common cups, etc.), and return everything to its proper place on the shelf beside the refrigerator.
Volunteers serve 1 Sunday a month.
