The Impact of Volunteering:

When we begin the volunteer recruitment for the new ministry year, it’s easy to see all the demands. Yes, we do need people to serve (doors don’t hold themselves open, and coffee doesn’t make itself). But instead of simply checking the “service” box (or signing the service board!), we want to look to Christ’s pattern and rhythm of service and mission. When we love and care for others, when we see people receive that love and care, and when we see God meet needs, service then becomes a place where we can tangibly see God move.
