Suzy Grumelot’s degrees are in Bible and Missions. She has served with World Team in urban church planting in France for the past 30+ years. She moved into Paris in 2011, taking responsibility for “The Paris Project,” a new initiative in innovative church planting. In 2012, with French partners, a historic new church was birthed in central Paris where no Protestant church existed for over 500 years. In addition to discipling women and overseeing Bible studies, a second phase of the project involves equipping new teams to be deployed in other districts. Suzy is involved with networking, prayer and mentoring of both new believers and new church planters. In 2018 she was asked by the International Director to serve in a role to direct focus to prayer and stir people’s hearts to pray for World Team and the unreached that we serve. She also serves on the executive team of Shoulder-to-Shoulder, an inter-missional initiative she helped to create in 2011. She is co-author of Sacred Siblings, a book about valuing singles and marrieds in the Great Commission.
Missiologists now call post-Christian Europe "the dark continent." Suzy writes, “In the midst of both hostility and indifference to the Gospel, we’ve seen people come to Christ each year, and new churches birthed. The spiritual warfare is intense, and it’s a privilege to watch God transform hearts in such a tough place.”
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, visiting museums, concerts (all types), theatre, long walks, discovering unusual shops and tea salons, but mostly deep fellowship, heart-to-heart chats, the first day of every season….and time with her nieces and nephews.
