Women’s Director
“I have been so nurtured by the women’s ministry, whether at Thursday morning studies, evening Gather events, or the day retreats. I’m excited to help continue to create open, life-giving spaces for women where we can be honest and heard; spaces where we can deeply connect with God, with ourselves, and with other women. I’m looking forward to continuing to journey with others as we explore what it means to be women deeply beloved by God.”
What does she like most about All Souls?
"I started attending All Souls on and off around 10 years ago with my husband, Thad, and really started getting plugged in around eight years ago.
One thing I appreciate about All Souls is the liturgy. I had never been in a church that used liturgy before I came here, and now it’s become an integral part of the way I worship God and experience the church. I love the rhythm of the liturgical calendar, hearing blessings that have been repeated for hundreds of years, and reciting communal prayers when I can’t find the right words myself. I love receiving the Assurance of Grace and partaking in Communion each week–constant, tangible reminders of God’s unending love and mercy for us all.
I also love that All Souls is such a real place. It’s not cheesy or fake or pretentious. You don’t have to pretend to have it all together to feel comfortable. The people are genuine and have a deep love for Jesus and our community. I’m so thankful for the friendships that my family and I have formed here over the years.”
