What is a normal service like?

Our two (identical) weekly services include worship through music and liturgy, a sermon, and communion. We value making people feel welcome and helping them experience God's grace in an authentic way. Come early for a cup of coffee, and don't worry about dressing up for our services.

Helpful information:

  • Parking is available all around East Decatur Station (the area of businesses where our church is located) and is marked with signs.

  • Our main entrance actually faces New Street (near the corner of East College Avenue).

  • We provide nursery from the beginning of both services for infants through 24 months.

  • We provide ASF Kids Sunday School for ages 2 through Grade 5 during both services (you may check your child in at the info desk when you arrive, and then go downstairs to Sunday School during the Passing of the Peace within the service). Youth (grade 6 through 12) meet from the Passing of the Peace of the 10:45 service.

  • We have greeters who love to help newcomers figure out where to go.

  • We’d love for you to have a free cup (or two or three) of Portrait coffee or tea before or after the service or during our break immediately after the passing of the peace.
